PIPE TOBACCOS

Pipe tobaccos are made in France at the tobacco plant in Metz, capital of the Lorraine region and Moselle department.

More than 20 products are made there under eight main brands:

Amsterdamer, Bergerac, Capora, Django, Gauloises, Kennings, Narval, Saint-Claude… For each tobacco, Altadis specialists carefully choose the best tobaccos that are used in each blend (between seven and ten depending on the products).

The tobaccos - Virginia, Burley, Oriental, and dark tobaccos - come from all over the world. After humidification and blending, they are roasted for the dark types, and sauced and flavored for the others according to jealously kept recipes.
